Since 2002 GKN Driveline has been constantly developing electric axles and offers two different solutions: eAxles for M-4WD and eAxles for Hybrid AWD.

eAxle for Hybrid AWD
GKN Driveline’s electric drive axle unit for axle split hybrid systems incorporating a proprietary disconnect clutch technology, which facilitates on-demand all- wheel-drive (AWD) use and contributes to the overall all-terrain functionality and fuel efficiency. The hybrid system is fitted with an electric motor with a maximum capacity of 27kW and a maximum torque of 200Nm at the rear. The GKN Driveline electric drive axle is capable of delivering 1500Nm of torque to the rear wheels. GKN Driveline will supply the electric drive axle for PSA Peugeot Citroën new HYbrid4 technology.
